How long does my own hair need to be for hair extensions?
In order to have hair extensions with a natural transition from your hair to the extensions, we recommend that you have at least 10cm hair of your own. If you already have long hair, do not despair, hair extensions give your hair new life. If you do not want to have long hair, you can also make it more. voluminous or add a pop of colour.
Which extension method should I choose?
It depends whether or not you want extensions for a special occasion one evening, for a short period of time, or perhaps more permanent? Do you do a lot of sports and activities? At Creative Wigs, we have developed several alternative methods to give you the opportunity to choose the method that suits you in your everyday life. There is quite simply something for everyone.
Which colour should I choose for my hair extensions?
Our website hosts pictures of all the colours and shades in our range. If you feel that you need expert help, then email a picture of your hair to our Creative Team Experts info@creativewigs.com.au
Can I attach my extensions myself at home?
Absolutely! Our Clip-in extensions are super easy to attach yourself. The other methods including Wefts and Tapes require an extra pair of hands, especially for the attachment at back of the head.
Can I Mix & Match my extensions?
Mixing extension colours is an easy way to get gorgeous colour effects and highlights. For example: with our Tape in Extensions buy two or more packs in different shades, apply one colour underneath and the other colour on top. Voila!
How long will my Hair Extensions last?
Creative extensions use only the highest quality hair. If taken care of properly your Tape in Extensions will stay in the hair approximately 10-12 weeks. Once they have been removed, you can then have them re taped and reinstalled for another 2-3 wears.
The wefts can be removed and redone, and clip in hair will last considerably longer. However, this is based on how you treat your hair extensions. The less you do to them the longer they will last! If you are colouring the hair, or excessive heat styling then the life of your extensions will be dramatically reduced.
How do I care for my Creative Extensions?
Brush your Extensions with a wide tooth comb. (When brushing your tape extensions ensure to hold the roots of your hair to prevent pulling on the bonds.) Never sleep on your Tape Extensions whilst they are wet. Clip in extensions should be removed prior to going to bed when possible. To keep your Creative Tape weft Extensions looking great we recommend putting your hair in a braid before going to sleep at night. Never use any products containing oil, alcohol or ethanol as this can damage the hair extensions and weaken the adhesive. It is highly advised to use our special formulated shampoo and conditioner.
When using hot tools be sure to use a heat protectant spray. (Do not use a flat iron directly on the tape In tabs. This will weaken the bond and they will slip out.) Treat your Creative Tape Extensions with love and they will have you looking fabulous for months!
How often should I wash my Clip In Extensions?
We recommend cleaning your Creative Clip In Extensions every 10-15 wears OR if you have used a lot of product on them.
